Take one look at my Instagram and you’ll know that I live in activewear. Between being fitness-obsessed and a stay/work from home momma, it’s the only way to go. What the heck did people wear before leggings, anyway?
I am always on the lookout for great athletic wear brands and trust me, I’ve tried plenty! I’m always looking to strike that perfect balance between quality and affordability because let’s face it, the thought of spending hundreds on clothing that I’m going to ruin with sweat and snot from my kids is not all that appealing.
While it can be tough to find stylish, great-fitting, quality pieces that don’t break the bank, it’s not entirely impossible. That’s why I’m excited to bring you my complete review of a brand that I’ve been loving over the last year and a half or so, CRZ Yoga.
Maybe you’ve seen their stuff on Amazon or you heard your favorite influencer talking about them on Instagram and now you’re wondering if the hype is real. Are they really the best Lululemon dupes?
I’m breaking this brand down for you, telling you what they have, what they’re made from, how they fit, and what the pros and cons are so you can decide if you want to add some of their athletic gear to your lineup.
Behind the CRZ Yoga Brand
When I’m researching a brand to share or when I’m contemplating purchasing something from them, I always like to take a peek at the about us page to get a glimpse into who I’m buying from.
CRZ Yoga was founded back in 2005 out of a desire to create health-inspired, affordable, high-quality athletic apparel for women and men. I was surprised to see that they’ve been around for so long as it seems like it’s only been the past couple of years that their line has caught on and gotten amazing press and attention in the fitness and athleisure world.
Regardless, today they offer a full line up of all the right gear when it comes to fitness and comfort. They design each of their pieces with high-tech fabric that’s designed to cater to both of our most important needs - function and comfort.
Does CRZ Yoga Have The Best Lululemon Dupes?
This is the million dollar question: who has the best lululemon dupes? The answer may just be CRZ Yoga! If you look closely at their designs, they’re very similar to that of Lululemon, but not entirely the same.
But why are we so obsessed with finding Lululemon dupes? Because Lululemon is notorious for being the best of the best when it comes to athletic wear for women, but with high price tags, it’s simply not in the budget for many women. While I fully believe in the value of investing in some great pieces, I also don’t want to spend a fortune.
There’s a lot of buzz on the internet and social media about CRZ Yoga being an almost exact Lulu dupe, and this is actually very accurate. It’s clear to me that CRZ Yoga closely examines Lulu’s clothing and then replicates them in their own way. The similarities are very noticeable and the differences are minimal.
While I assume this may be annoying to Lululemon, it’s great for those of us who love their style, designs, fit, and functionality but are on a budget. And, as they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
What Kinds of Apparel Do They Offer?
As I mentioned, CRZ offers a full lineup of all our favorite workout and athleisure gear. I personally own several pieces and am adding to my collection periodically. Here are the categories for their apparel:
- Leggings
- Pants
- Capris
- Shorts & Skirts
- Bras
- Tanks
- Crop Tops
- Short Sleeves
- Long Sleeves
- Coats & Jackets
- Swimsuits
The item that they have received the most attention for is definitely their leggings. Next, we’ll talk specifically about their Naked leggings, which are incredibly similar to Lululemon Aligns.
CRZ Yoga Leggings Review
Lululemon’s Align Pants are the most popular style of leggings that they have right now, but at $98 per pair, they are out of budget for many women. Luckily, CRZ Yoga offers an almost exact replicate for just $24!
Both the Aligns and the Naked Feeling leggins from CRZ have the same 25-inch high-waisted inseam, so you can expect an almost identical fit with both pairs. They also feature the same soft, slightly compressioning fabric that gives us the comfort and flexibility we want out of our leggings. One Amazon reviewer proclaimed that “This is such a great piece of lulu dupe. The material is very similar to align line but can be used for working out. I love it. Such a great quality leggings for such a reasonable cost.”
CRZ Yoga offers their Naked Feeling leggings in so many color and pattern options, and they’re constantly adding more to their line. They also have inseam options that include:
- 19” capris
- 21” capris
- 25” Leggings
- 28” leggings
They also come in their traditional high-waist or their Double Waisteam.
Let’s run down some pros and cons of the CRZ Yoga Naked Feel Leggings:
Pros:
- An almost exact Lululemon dupe!
- Buttery soft fabric
- Very affordable
- Tons of color and pattern options
- Lightweight and comfortable
- Waist doesn’t dig in
- Gives you the “naked” sensation
- Plenty of stretch
- Runs true to size (but if between sizes, go down)
Cons:
- Not a ton of compression
- It’s a fast fashion brand
My Personal Experience and Thoughts on This Women’s Athletic Wear Brand
As I’m writing this, I personally, own about 7-10 different pieces from this brand and they are favorites when I’m reaching for workout clothes each morning. I workout from home and tend to always wear shorts because that’s what I find to be the most comfortable. These shorts from CRZ are an absolute favorite of mine. They are so comfortable, flattering, and have just the right amount of stretch to allow me to wear them for everything from strength training to running on the treadmill. And for just $16 each, they’re an absolute no-brainer.
I also have this bra and it’s quickly become one of my favorite sports bras. I love how it’s a longline option, which means it covers more area than a traditional bra. Pair it with a pair of their high-waisted leggings or high-waisted shorts and you’re left with just a small area of visible torso, which is optimal for me and totally the style most women are rocking currently when it comes to activewear.
I am typically a size small in most brands, and this is true for CRZ Yoga as well. I find that their stuff fits very true to size, but perhaps on the larger size when it comes to bottoms, due mostly to the amount of stretch in the fabric. If you like a more compressive look and feel, I would suggest sizing down. I, however, enjoy the extra stretch and freedom.
CRZ Yoga Reviews: What Are Online Customers Saying About This Athleticwear Brand?
According to Amazon.com, there are 9,528 reviews of CRZ Yoga, with 86% being positive. Upon reviewing the negative reviews, I discovered that the main complaint is the fact that the fabric is very lightweight and non-compressive. Additionally, some reviewers were angry that they received a pair of “bootlegged” leggings. However, it’s important to understand that these are in fact a knock-off of Lululemon, there is no secret there. It’s up to buyers to decide if they are comfortable with buying cheaper products from a company that’s very clearly trying to compete with Lululemon.
Overall, customers are absolutely thrilled with the clothing they purchase from CRZ Yoga, raving about the look, feel, and comfort they experience when wearing them both at the gym for working out and around home and running errands. Personally, I am all about getting high-quality workout gear at a fraction of the price, and I think many women feel the same as Lululemon just isn’t all that accessible for many.
FAQs
Q: How do CRZ Yoga Leggings Fit?
A: CRZ Yoga runs true to size. For reference, I wear a size 4-6 in Lululemon and buy size small in CRZ Yoga and the fit is almost identical. Refer to their size chart for more information. As for their sports bras, I recommend sizing up if you’re between sizes or are larger-chested. I wear my normal size small, but can see how it could get tight if you’re working with more up top than I am.
Q: What kinds of activities are their clothing designed for?
A: I wear their leggings, shorts, and sports bras for any and all of my workouts. I find that they stay up really well and provide just enough compression to keep me sucked in a little without being tight or restrictive. I also wear their leggings all the time for everyday stuff. They can be dressed up or down and always give a flattering, put-together vibe.
Q: What sizes do they offer?
A: CRZ Yoga offers sizing from XXS to XL, catering to a wide range of sizes.
Q: How well do they hold up/how long do they last?
A: My oldest piece of clothing is a pair of leggings and I believe I have had them for just over 2 years. I still wear them constantly and have not noticed any fading or other wear. I don’t dry my activewear, though, so that might account for some of the stability I’ve been able to maintain. I always hang them dry. I also dug through a bunch of reviews that all offered the same sentiment, that the quality of the fabric holds up really well.
Q: Where to buy CRZ Yoga apparel?
A: You can buy CRZ Yoga right on their website or you can buy almost all their pieces on Amazon. Keep in mind that my discount code (FITMOMMA) is only good when you use it directly on their website. You can save 8% off your order when you buy directly from their website and you get free shipping! I prefer to buy directly from them because I feel like there are more options on their website and that it’s easier to navigate through. The Final Verdict: Should You Try Out CRZ Yoga?
If I haven’t already made it clear, the answer is yes, in my opinion. As a busy momma with two toddlers, a workout schedule, and lots of time spent juggling work and motherhood, I am all about athleisure on a budget. Of course, I 100% believe that Lululemon, Athleta and the likes are worth the money. If you’ve ever bought a pair of designer leggings, you’ll know the difference.
That said, I personally don’t want to spend a ton of money on my daily wardrobe and certainly not on the clothing that I’m going to drench with sweat consistently. CRZ Yoga is hands-down one of my favorite brands.
