I’ve been a long-time fan of fitness apps. In fact, fitness apps have helped me tremendously over the past 5+ years of working out from home while managing being a full-time momma.
There are so many amazing fitness apps to choose from these days, which makes it really easy to find one that suits your needs, goals, and personality. Because let’s face it, not every workout is right for you. Fitness should be fun!
From lower intensity workouts like MyCurves On Demand (read about it here) to hyper focused strength training apps like Fitbod, there's something for everyone.
In this article, I’m reviewing The Sculpt Society, a brand new fitness app that’s helping women everywhere get toned and sculpted while having a great time doing it. This dance-based fitness programming might just be the perfect way for you to fall in love with your fitness routine.
What is The Sculpt Society?
The Sculpt Society (TSS) was created by Megan Roup, a dancer, model, and now fitness influencer. Megan was navigating her own personal journey to finding a form of fitness that she loved and that gave her an empowered feeling.
Megan spent years torturing herself in the gym, performing workouts that she didn’t enjoy just to look and feel a certain way. It wasn’t until she stumbled upon dance-based workouts that things started to shift for her.
She started to enjoy the movement, falling in love with the ability to have fun and still reach her fitness goals. TSS started as a side hustle for her, teaching classes and coaching women in her community, but it’s now led into a mega-successful fitness app that’s empowering thousands of women.
A fun and effective fitness environment
The workouts you’ll find in TSS are fun, effective, and empowering, but they’re not intended only for dancers! Dancing comes with so much intimidation, and Megan wanted to create a program that’s perfect for dancers and non-dancers alike, opening it up to every fitness level.
The app, the community, and the workouts are all grounded in feeling your best and participating in movement that makes you feel good about yourself and your body. Personally, I absolutely love the messaging and the mission of this brand, especially during a time when women especially feel so much pressure from all angles when it comes to their bodies and what they should and shouldn’t be doing to achieve their desired look.
The Brand Foundation
The Sculpt Society keeps it very simple with its brand philosophy:
DANCE
They take an athletic approach to dance-based fitness, simplifying dance cardio moves so that anyone and everyone can participate and feel successful.
SCULPT
By combining bodyweight and light weights and resistance tools, you’ll tone and sculpt the lean, strong body you desire.
REPEAT
The classes are sequenced so that you are constantly being challenged. And, the combination of dance cardio and sculpting is designed to give you the fat-burning, muscle toning results you desire.
Getting Started
Getting started with The Sculpt Society app is really simple! All you need to do is create your account and you’re ready to dive in.
When you first open the app interface, you’ll see a section that says to Get Started Here. These are introductory videos that will walk you through what you can expect from the dance cardio and the sculpt workouts as well as give you a better idea of what you can expect from the programming.
Next, you’ll see options to check out the LIVE class schedule, all the dedicated programs she has to choose from, as well as her workout calendars. I love how many options there are and that she doesn’t just give you random workouts and leave you hanging. It’s all created to take the guesswork out of sculpting and toning your body.
Lastly, you’ll have options to check out the new videos listed for the week (there are always new videos going up!), and you can choose to sort and browse through the complete list of classes and workouts, finding one that strikes your fancy on that particular day. There really are a ton of options, which is something that I really value in a workout app!

How Long Are The Workouts?
The workouts vary in length, so you have the opportunity to choose what you want to do each day based on your schedule and any time constraints. TSS has workouts that range anywhere from 10 minutes to 50 minutes each.
Who Teaches the Classes?
Megan herself teaches every class! This app is truly a labor of love and it’s clear that Megan is deeply passionate about what she does and sharing her passions with women all over the world.
As an instructor, Megan is clear, inspirational, and challenging at the same time. She takes the time to walk you through each movement, including proper form, while still keeping the workout moving forward so that you can get the most out of your calorie burn and time spent in the class.
What Fitness Equipment is Required?
To complete TSS workouts little to no equipment is required, which I know is music to the ears of many! Not everyone has access to a ton of equipment which can be a deterrent to working out, but TSS allows you to get a great workout without the need for much.
You can complete all the workouts without anything more than a mat on the floor, but if you want to take your workouts to the next level and really benefit from the programming, then you may consider the following:
- Ankle weights (1 lb)
- Weighted ball
- Slides
- Hand weights (3 lbs)
- Booty bands
All of these products can be purchased right on the TSS website, or you can get your own from another retailer like Amazon.
How Do You Access the Workouts?
You can download the app on your smartphone or tablet, computer, or stream on your TV. The app is really smooth and easy to use. I have been using it for a month or so and have not run into any problems or technical issues.
How Much Does Sculpt Society Cost?
This app is very competitively priced! You can enjoy all the programming for just $19.99 per month ($.66 per day), or $119.99 per year ($.33 per day). PLUS Megan offers a FREE 14-day trial with complete access to the full app and workouts, which is plenty of time to decide if this is the right app for you!
Final Thoughts: Is The Sculpt Society Worth It?
Absolutely! When I first saw TSS and was introduced to Megan Roup via Instagram, I was immediately drawn to her approach to fitness. I am often guilty of chasing after the hardcore, intense workouts that either include fast-paced cardio, lifting heavy weights or a combo of both.
Sometimes, it’s really refreshing to take things down a notch, decreasing the intensity and increasing the muscle-specific work, particularly when it comes to the smaller muscles. I have always loved Pilates, and the sculpt workouts most certainly resemble Pilates.
If dancing is fun for you, then you’re going to love these workouts. Whether you think you’re a good dancer or not, it doesn’t matter because Megan makes the workouts accessible to all skill levels.
The best part is that the workouts are effective. So who says you can’t have fun working out?! Sign up for your FREE 14-day trial today and check it out for yourself!
