Summertime is in full swing, and you know what that means - give us all the frozen treats to keep us cool and refreshed!

When I bought my Ninja Creami at the beginning of the year, I had no idea just how much use I would get out of it. From insanely creamy protein ice creams to smoothie bowls, I am obsessed with making healthy, frozen combinations. And while I typically specialize in protein-packed desserts, I’m also a fan of vibrant, fruity sorbets that not only provide refreshment but also plenty of vitamins and minerals.

Today I am sharing my best Ninja Creami Sorbet recipes with you to help inspire you to create something fruity, fresh, and oh-so-delicious this season!

My Ninja Creami Sorbet Base Recipe

If you have a Creami, then you’re probably already aware that having a pretty general base recipe to build from will allow you to then customize your creations as you wish. This is true no matter what Creami style you’re making.

When it comes to sorbet, I have a pretty standard recipe I use to make the base, and then I add in whatever fruit, juice, etc. required to make the specific flavor I’m going for.

Before I created my base recipe, I made sure that I knew what I was doing by asking Google what the definition of a sorbet was, and it’s basically a mixture of fruit, juice, ice, honey, liqueur…anything besides dairy. Apparently, as soon as dairy enters the picture, you’re working with a sherbet, not a sorbet. I took this as it’s ok to use non-dairy milk in some of my recipes.

Here’s my general “base” recipe for sorbet in a Ninja Creami:

5 / 5

1 cup fruit (fresh or frozen)

1 tbsp. Sugar or sugar substitute (like Swerve or Stevia granulated sugar)

¾ cup liquid (juice, water, non-dairy milk, etc.)

How To Make:

Step 1: Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

Step 2: Pour into Creami pint and freeze overnight (or at least 8-12 hours).

Step 3: Place Creami pint on machine and select “Sorbet” mode.

Step 4: Remove from machine, take off the lid - it should look powdery at this point.

Step 5: Add a tbsp. or two of liquid

Step 6: Put back on the machine and hit “re-spin.”

Step 7: Re-spin as many times as it takes to get your desired consistency.

Now that you know how to make your sorbet, let’s talk about what delicious flavors you can make!

Strawberry Limeade

Strawberry limeade is a classic flavor that includes the sweetness of strawberries with the tartness of the lime.

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • ¼  cup lime juice (fresh or bottled)
  • 1 tbsp. sugar or sugar replacement
  • ½ cup water

Raspberry Lemonade

Lemonade makes a delicious frozen treat, but add some sweet raspberries, and you take things to a whole new level.

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • ¾ cup lemonade or lemon juice (I like to use a zero-sugar option)
  • 1 tbsp. sugar or sugar replacement

Bountiful Berry

Berries are packed with nutrients, full of flavor, and taste delicious frozen.

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries
  • ¾ cup water or juice
  • 1 tbsp. sugar or sugar replacement

Orange Sunrise

Oranges are one of the sweetest, most refreshing citrus fruits we have. This Orange Sunrise Ninja Creami Sorbet is so flavorful and fun.

  • 1 cup mandarin oranges (drained)
  • ¾ cup light orange juice
  • 1 tbsp. sugar or sugar replacement

Pineapple Peach

We love a good fruit mashup, and pineapples combined with peaches is one of the best!

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen peaches (canned peaches work great!)
  • ¾ cup light pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp. sugar or sugar replacement

Blackberry Lemonade

Big, juicy blackberries make the perfect complement to the tartness of lemonade. This flavor combo will quickly become one of your favorite Ninja Creami Sorbets!

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
  • ¾ cup light lemonade or lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. sugar or sugar replacement

Summer and watermelon are synonymous, so it makes sense to freeze it and make it even more refreshing!

  • 1 cup watermelon
  • ¾ cup watermelon juice or water
  • 1 tbsp. sugar or sugar replacement
