Vitamins seem to be all the rage these days, and it makes sense, in the midst of pandemic caused by an airborne virus that appears to prey on those with weakened immune systems, we’ve all started to take notice of our health.

The problem is, when there are so many choices, it becomes difficult to know what’s best. If you’re like me, your Instagram and Facebook feeds are filled with ads touting the next best thing since sliced bread, and vitamins have certainly been a hot topic.

I was already taking a women’s multivitamin daily and had been for years when I came across Persona Vitamins. I was intrigued by how they personalize a regime just for you. I decided to give Persona a try and now I’m sharing my honest thoughts in this review so that you can get the facts before you decide if this vitamin subscription service is right for you.

About Persona Nutrition

“Backed by science. Driven by results. Personalized for you.” That’s the motto you’ll see displayed proudly on Persona’s website.

Their goal is to bring health and wellness to people all across the world with therapeutic levels of the best supplements available. All their recommendations are based on the expertise of their Medical Advisory Board and countless research studies.

The products itself is a 28-day supply of vitamins and supplements that are recommended for you based on your unique needs, as identified in their comprehensive quiz. Once you become a member, you get access to their expert nutritionists as well as an app that includes tools to help support your new regime. Currently, they offer a selection of 80 different vitamins and supplements, including vegan options.

Getting Started

Unlike most vitamins, Persona doesn’t offer a blanket, one-size-fits-all solution for nutrition. Our nutritional needs are vast and they differ greatly from person to person. I was curious about what their algorithm would tell me was most important to supplement into my daily diet, so I went ahead and took their assessment.

The assessment felt pretty comprehensive to me, without being too lengthy. It moved along quickly and was easy to navigate. The assessment included all of the questions that I thought it might, plus more that I didn’t even consider.

I filled mine out honestly and received the following results:

They broke it down into 4 different categories;

  1. Immune Support: Garlic, Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids, Antioxidant
  2. Foundational Formula: Foundation Multivitamin, Daily Probiotic, Omega 3 with BioCirc
  3. Energy Support: Green Tea Extract
  4. Female Health Support: Borage with Saffron, Magnesium Glycinate, Fermented Ginseng, CoQ10

In total, I was recommended 11 different supplements, which felt like a little much, to be honest. But the great thing is that you can pick and choose which of the recommended vitamins you want to keep in your pack and which you’d rather skip. They also put a couple of recommendations in for other vitamins that you may be interested, but aren’t necessarily a priority.

For me, I decided to skip the green tea extract which was put in there because I indicated that I sometimes struggle with energy. I’m also a mom of two, full-time worker, and fitness lover, so there’s often good reason for my afternoon slump.

The rest I decided to keep the rest, knowing that I can make adjustments at any time, should I need to. I loved that next to each of the recommendations, you could get more info on what the supplement was and how it worked so that you could decide if it was right for you.

My Personal Experience With Persona Vitamins

Once I had my recommended supplements, the order part was simple. They automatically applied a 30% off coupon for my first two orders, which was nice. I was a little concerned about the price, as mine came out to be $73.50 for a 28-day supply or $2.63 per day. But when I physically went through and added up what it would cost me to purchase each of these items separately, it was actually a savings of over $20 per month!

I placed my order and it arrived within 3 days from FedEx, which was awesome. I love how quickly it shipped to me. When I opened the package, I was greeted by a nice looking box that included a cutout insert where your vitamin packs are dispensed from.

Basically, you pull out the vitamin packs and tear one off from the serrated edge for each day. All 10 of my vitamins for the day are packaged nicely in one little baggie that I can quickly tear off the top and take with water.

The box also comes with some literature regarding the formulas I received and when I order/what I paid. I found this booklet to be a nice reference piece and it also served as a receipt.

Why These Are The Best Vitamin Packs (In My Opinion)

I am totally obsessed with this vitamin subscription service. As someone who always just took a multivitamin and called it good, it was eye-openeing to see that I could get a customized formula that addresses the needs of my body that I didn’t even recognize that I had.

For example, I have PCOS and have notoriously struggled with my period/lack of a period and then PMS each month. With the female health support supplements they recommended, I started to immediately notice a difference in my cycle and my moods, bloating, etc. around my time of the month.

Here are my top reasons for loving these vitamins:

  • It’s so convenient to have everything in a single-serve pack
  • I save money
  • The formulas are precise and based on science, doctors, and pharmacists
  • They use the best of the best vitamins, each one is highly tested
  • They come on auto-pilot - no more forgetting to order or buy my supplements
  • Shipping is FREE
  • You can switch things up anytime
  • I’m feeling great

Utilizing Persona’s Nutritionists

You can take full advantage of the chat feature where your nutritionist will be able to recommend specific vitamins. This is located on Persona's site. Here's a short video about utilizing your personal nutritionist.

Reviews of Persona Nutrition: What Are Customers Saying Online?

According to Trustpilot, Persona Nutrition averages 4.3 stars out of 5 stars with 67% being excellent and another 14% being good. Overall there are only a handful of negative reviews. In total, there are over 4,000 reviews of Persona on Trustpilot alone.

Many customers detailed that they appreciated the variety of packs and that they observed positive changes in their health from the nutrition supplements they took.

As for the negative reviews, a handful of people seemed to struggle with the subscription side of Persona Vitamins with complaints that they were billed after they thought they canceled the service. However, representatives of Persona had responded to those complaints in a positive manner, which shows a strong sign of great customer support.

Overall, while the price may be too high for some people (especially after their new customer discount runs out) there were a significantly greater amount of people saying the personalized vitamin packs were worth the price.

Concluding Thoughts

I am a big fan of personalized vitamin packs after using Persona’s service. It’s really convenient and it makes it simple to remember to take your vitamins.

I was a little surprised by how many vitamins and supplements were recommended for me, however, now that I’ve taken them for a while, I can see how they make a positive impact on specific aspects of my body and life.

I will say that the biggest pitfall is probably the price, but as I mentioned, if you actually do the math, you’ll see that it’s less expensive to get all your vitamins this way instead of buying the individual bottles.

Also, I feel confident that the supplements in my packs are of the highest quality, and I don’t always have that same confidence when I purchase a random supplement off of Amazon. Persona has great customer service, too, which made me feel even more confident with my choice.

Have you tried a personalized vitamin subscription yet? I’d love to hear about your experience!
