Nood has a higher price point, but their product is coming from a reputable brand. Aopvui is sold through retailers like Amazon and Walmart, so can you trust its quality and results? About Nood The Flasher 2.0 IPL Hair Remover

packaing of nood flasher 2.0

By administering high intensity pulses of light to your hair follicles where melanin is present, The Flasher 2.0 from Nood is able to prevent hair from growing back. Without irritation or pain, IPL hair removal is a much more cost-effective and healthy method of achieving smooth, hair-free skin. You can use The Flasher 2.0 on various areas of your body, including sensitive places like your bikini area. You have the ability to change intensity levels based on where you’re using your device.

Nood originally sold their Flasher IPL device, before upgrading to the 2.0 model. Each treatment takes just 10 minutes, and Nood claims you can see results in as little as two to three weeks (with more permanent results taking as much as eight weeks). The Flasher 2.0 comes with a digital display, which is a feature that a lot of IPL models don’t include. Aopvui has one, but we’ll get to that later on. You can view the intensity level you’re using, allowing you to truly customize your at-home treatments. Nood does suggest that you keep up with treatments every month or two once you’ve accomplished permanent hair removal. This will help maintain your results without the hair growing back.

Pros

  • The Flasher 2.0 is very gentle, yet effective. If you have really sensitive skin, you can use their skincare products during your treatment and afterwards to promote healing and hydration.
  • You can see results in as little as two weeks, according to Nood.
  • Treatments are completed in as little as 10 minutes.
  • Nood has designed their IPL device with a UV-filtration lens to protect your skin and health.
  • A 90-day money-back guarantee is offered from Nood. There is also a lifetime guarantee for the unit, which comes with 600 flashes right out of the box.

Cons

  • The Flasher 2.0 doesn’t work well on very dark skin or light hair.
  • Eight weeks is a little lengthy for a full treatment window, but Nood does claim you can see some change in as little as two weeks.
  • More information would be nice regarding the amount of maintenance that’s needed to keep up with your hair removal results.

About Aopvui IPL Hair Remover

hair removal device aopvui

This at-home IPL hair removal device from Aopvui claims to remove unwanted hair, leaving you with salon-grade results from the comfort of your home. It comes with 999,900 flashes, and the unit will count down as you use them. This information is featured on the digital display screen. The brand claims this is enough flashes to achieve permanent hair loss, but I saw some reviews from people who didn’t think it was going to be enough. It seems it will depend on the size of your treatment areas.

You can choose between automatic and manual flash models, as well as nine different intensity levels. Lower intensity is recommended for parts of the body that are sensitive, like your face or bikini area. With a slightly different physical shape than Nood and other similar IPL devices, Aopvui’s Hair Remover is gun-shaped, making it easy to handle.

Pros

  • Comes with nine different intensity levels. The brand explains that the amount of time it takes to achieve results will depend on the intensity level you’re using.
  • The brand claims you can achieve permanent hair loss in eight weeks.
  • There is a digital display that allows you to monitor things like intensity level.
  • Hair will grow back slower and finer after just a few weeks of use.

Cons

  • Some people claim in their reviews that the device will occasionally put out a painful zap during a treatment.
  • Other reviews say you go through pulses very quickly. You may not have enough to cover your full treatment or to keep up with maintenance.
  • A high-speed fan is used to keep the device cool while it’s running. It may result in a high level of sound when operating.
  • Aopvui doesn’t seem like a reputable brand, as there’s no official company website to visit.

Comparing IPL Hair Removal Devices

While both Nood’s The Flasher 2.0 and Aopvui’s hair removal device are based off of IPL technology, they’re quite different. For starters, Aopvui provides you with 999,900 flashes and starts to count down as soon as you start using it. Once you’re out of flashes, you’ll either have to purchase another device or cease your treatments. Nood comes with 600,000 flashes out of the box, but the brand assures customers that it will replace the unit if you ever run out or you experience a unit malfunction.

If you’re concerned with using up your flashes too quickly, you’ll probably want to switch your unit to a manual mode. You’ll have to press a button each time you want a flash to emit. You have more control over your treatments this way, reducing the flashes that you consume.

Nood says it will provide temporary hair loss results in two to three weeks, while more permanent results can be seen between six to eight weeks. Aopvui markets their device as showing some changes in the thickness and prevalence of your body hair in three to four treatments. More substantial results take seven to eight treatments.

Comparing Price and Overall Value

The Nood IPL device is currently priced at $209. It’s a bit more than Aopvui’s device, but Nood has an established client base. This New Zealand-based company has already released one successful device (The Flasher), coming back with their upgraded and updated 2.0 model. Any issues that existed with their device have been addressed with great results.

Aopvui currently has their device listed on Amazon for $119, with a $40 off coupon offered at the time of writing this review. That makes it a pretty affordable product, but there’s not a lot of customer support that comes with their product. I mentioned how Nood will replace your unit if you run out of flashes or if you have a problem with your Flasher 2.0. You don’t get that level of support from Aopvui.

Winner: Aopvui is much cheaper!

Comparing Money Back Guarantees

Nood’s lifetime flash guarantee claims that each handset will come with 600,000 flashes out of the box. If you run out, your handset will be replaced without any cost to you. You also have 90 days to try your Flasher 2.0 out. If you aren’t happy with your purchase, supposedly all you have to do is contact the company to schedule a return. Nood also states that if there’s anything wrong with your device, contact them for assistance.

There doesn’t seem to be any kind of money back guarantee or warranty information listed for Aopvui’s products. There may be some type of support available, depending on where you buy your device from. For example, Amazon often allows you to return your purchases for 30 days. Anything past that point would require you to reach out to the seller for more information. If you look at the reviews for Aopvui on Amazon, people appear to have tried to return their device, only to run into a number of roadblocks with the product’s customer service.

Main Differences between Aopvui and Nood

right image aopvui hair removal device; left image nood flasher 2.0

Reputability of brands is the main difference that I personally see between Aopvui and Nood. Nood is an established brand that claims on their website that they have over 10,000 happy customers. You can read over 500 reviews on their website. There are over 1,500 reviews listed on Amazon for Aopvui’s IPL device, but verifiability is questionable.

Aopvui doesn’t offer any kind of skincare products to use with their IPL device. Nood’s The Revealer claims to reduce the risk of ingrown hairs that you experience after your treatments. The Reviver soothes your skin, which may be sensitive after applying intense pulsed light.

Nood stresses that their device will never be painful. IPL tends to be a very well tolerated method of hair removal, especially compared to something like laser hair removal. After reviewing Aopvui’s customer feedback, it appears some people found the higher intensity levels of this device to be a bit uncomfortable at times.

Which is Better: Nood or Aopvui?

As a woman who cares about her appearance, health and safety, I would absolutely trust Nood The Flasher 2.0 over Aopvui. There is a much greater level of transparency and reputability that comes from Nood. The Nood website features a lot of information on IPL technology, how you should use your device, things to take into consideration and what you should do if there’s a problem.

Aopvui is very much what you see is what you get. It’s an affordable IPL device, but you really have to keep your fingers crossed that it’s going to work for you. If not, it appears you might have some issues with returning it for obtaining any kind of customer / technical support.

If you’re interested in permanent hair removal and want to try an IPL device from you, the process should be comfortable, safe and effective. It looks to me like Nood provides the better option, especially when you take into account, they’ve released a couple of different products to complement their IPL process.
