I’ve been using protein supplements for a few years now. Once I discovered how to make a delicious protein breakfast smoothie, I never went back.

Just as the name suggests, Naked Nutrition is a brand that’s dedicated to providing the purest supplements, free or naked of any artificial sweeteners or color. Their products are filled with nothing but the essential amino acids that our body’s need to recover from a workout and to power us through our day.

I was seeing Naked whey powder everywhere, and although I had been using a plant-based protein for some time, I wanted to switch back to whey to see how it felt.
The first thing I noticed when I received my protein was that the ingredient list had just one ingredient: whey protein concentrate. I loved how simple and clean it both looked and felt. Here are some key specifications for this product:
A Taste Test
I tried this protein for myself and was honestly surprised that I liked it! I was a bit fearful that the lack of sweeteners and flavors would make it unbearable to drink, but it doesn’t! Granted, I drink my protein mixed up with my favorite smoothie recipe which has plenty of flavors, so I really didn’t note any missing flavors when I subbed in this protein powder.
It’s actually really creamy and doesn’t have any kind of grainy or chalky texture that you sometimes get with other powders. Honestly, I have been drinking my protein smoothie religiously for breakfast every morning and I think the addition of Naked’s whey protein made it better!
I haven’t tried mixing it with just liquid (milk or water) as I’m not accustomed to drinking my protein that way, so I can’t comment on how well it mixes with just liquid.

Naked Collagen Peptides Protein Powder
The other product that I’ver personally tried so far is the Naked collagen peptides. This is another ingredient in my breakfast smoothie. I love using collagen to get a little more protein and the added benefits for my hair, skin, and nails.
Again, this product stays true to the brand’s name and contains only one ingredient, collagen peptides. Here are some of the highlights of this product:
A Taste Test
This is a tasteless product, so I can’t really comment on the taste. I can, however, comment on the consistency and the benefits. I’ve tried tons of collagen peptides and they are not all created equal. This product I found to be extremely easy to mix in with my smoothie and also my coffee, you really don’t even notice it!
After using it for a little over 4 weeks, I can definitely see a difference in my nails and hair. My nails are feeling stronger and my hair has been shiny and soft, which I am loving!

“I'm a super picky person and never write reviews but thought I'd share my two cents on the Unflavored Naked Whey Protein Powder.
1. The price is pretty on par with other popular companies like 1st Phorm, 1Up Nutrition, Bowmar Nutrition, etc. I know a lot of people complain about needing two scoops compared to one with other brands, but it's important to look at the weight and scoop size. One serving (2 scoops) of Naked Whey is 30g and 25g protein, whereas one serving (1 scoop) of 1st Phorm Level 1 Protein is 37g and 24g protein. You gotta look at the numbers.
2. As far as taste goes, I've tried a few protein powders and this one is by far the best. As I said, I'm probably THE pickiest eater ever but I blend a scoop of this with some frozen berries, mango, almond milk, and chia seeds and I don't taste it at all.
3. I have only used this in smoothies and as long as you mix it well enough, there are no clumps. I don't blend for more than 15-20 seconds or else I think it gets too thick which I don't like. I haven't tried a shaker bottle, so I can't attest to how well it mixes in there, but I imagine it's not the best way to mix this protein powder.
4. I love the minimal ingredients. There's literally only one. I have corn and rice sensitivities, so finding a good, clean protein powder I can consume has been nothing short of a challenge. Thankfully Naked Whey exists.

I’m really glad I decided to give Naked’s products a try.
