Alternatives Compared to MacroStax: Is There Anything Better?
If you happen to surf the web looking for real customer reviews on MacroStax, it isn't very favorable. Like any product or service, there are going to be people who love it and hate it. If you aren't sold on MacroStax, there are some great alternatives.
1st Phorm App is probably the best MacroStax alternative. It could be better overall for most of you who workout as well as track macros. Tracking macros in an app should be easy and that's what 1st Phorm app does. There are also training programs fully personalized based on your goals and complete access to high level coaches that are basically on call around the clock. The cost is comparable to MacroStax, as 1st Phorm app costs $12.99 per month, or $129.99 per year.
The Bottom Line: Is Macrostax Worth It?
If you’re looking for a streamlined, efficient way to get started tracking macros, Macrostax is well worth it. I found that the app was easy to use and that it was full of valuable information and resources that aligned well with my food and nutrition methodology as a nutritionist and long-time macro tracker.
For those who essentially need their hand held throughout the process (no shame at all!), you will find Macrostax to be very helpful on your journey, especially since you can access a real professional via chat any time you wish. For more experienced macro trackers or for those who already have a good grip on meal planning, logging, and timing, some of the app features might not be as useful or necessary. In that case, you might seek a cheaper alternative.
Tips and Tricks for Success From a Nutritionist
When it comes to macro tracking, regardless of which (if any) app you use, keep in mind that the most important component is your consistency. If you aren’t consistently hitting your macros the best you can, you won’t see the results you want.
Trust the process! I often see people get their macro calculations and feel concerned about the amount of food you’re being asked to eat or the specific macro target numbers. If this is you, please trust the process and know that the numbers calculated for you are based on your body and its needs.
