Maven Thread makes high-quality, durable, and functional workout wear for women. MT’s styles are unique, trendy, and always comfortable. From their signature headbands to leggings, sports bras, and everything in between, MT is an excellent choice for those who want to shake up their activewear wardrobe and buy from a small brand that stands behind their products.
I know we all like to say this, but in my case it’s true: I LIVE in activewear. Sure, you might catch me in a pair of jeans and a cute top on occasion, but 95% of the time, you can find me in a comfy pair of workout shorts or leggings and a tank. I like what I like!
So, it goes without saying that I am always on the lookout for new gear. And there is no shortage of options out there these days. It seems like every other day I am seeing ads for a different exercise wear line.
Anyone who has ever dabbled in collecting athleticwear and athleisure clothing knows that not all brands are created equal. One bad gym experience in a pair of see-through leggings off Amazon will have you whipping your credit card out, ready to pay the big bucks for the good stuff.
However, I’m happy to report that there are some excellent middle-of-the-road options when it comes to price from brands that never sacrifice quality. This brings me to the whole point of this article; reviewing Maven Thread!
If you haven’t been introduced to this brand yet, I’m super excited to do so today. And if you are aware of Maven Thread but are looking for a little validation before checking out, you’ll get that here, too. MT reminds me a little of Senita Athletics, another brand that I have covered and enjoy wearing.

Maven Thread was founded in 2017 by the husband and wife team, Kristen and Hiel Reichert. What Women’s Athletic Wear Do They Offer?
It’s unclear if Maven Thread’s first product was their signature headbands, or if they just happen to be one of their most popular product offerings. Regardless, Maven Thread has an epic variety of high-quality headbands that have amassed thousands of raving fans.
In addition to their famed headbands, they also offer tops, sports bras, leggings, shorts, joggers, capris, trousers, swimwear, workout gloves, scrunchies, bags, and more. Essentially, they offer everything we want for our workouts and errand running and nothing that we don’t.
Next, let’s break down some of the details of each of their products to get a feel for the quality, styles, and functionality of each.
Maven Thread Leggings (and Shorts) Review
When it comes to leggings, Maven Thread does it right. We all know what it’s like to put on a pair of cheap leggings; it’s disappointing, to say the least.
Maven Thread’s leggings remind me of the higher-end brands like Lulu Lemon and Alo, but at a lower price point, which certainly helps. Here are a few features of Maven Thread’s leggings that make them a great option:

- Comfortable
- Unique patterns

Their MT Sport Leggings are more compressive workout pants, making them perfect for HIIT workouts, running, and gym days. The MT Luxe pants are less compressive and softer, making them the perfect option for everyday wear, yoga class, and anytime comfort is the main priority.
Reading through the hundreds of online reviews for the both Maven Thread Sport pants and the Luxe pants, it’s clear that customers are obsessed with the style, fit, and feel of both options. In general, people prefer the Luxe pants as they are the most comfortable and most versatile. Plus, nearly every customer raves about the quality of the materials and the way Maven Thread nailed the fit.
Maven Thread Headband Review
If you’re like me, you hate having hair falling into your face while working out. I mean, is there anything worse than sweaty hair sticking to your forehead while you’re trying to get your workout in? Dramatic, but true.
This is why I love that Maven Thread has a complete lineup of workout-specific headbands that are designed to keep your sweat at bay, your hair tamed, and to help you look good while doing it. Let’s face it, our faces probably aren’t looking too cute when we’re putting in some hard work, so at least we can wear a cute headband to distract us.

Maven Thread Sports Bra Review
Similar to the way that Maven Thread offers a few different styles of workout pants, they do the same with their sports bras, which is fantastic. Just like we need different support for different workouts when it comes to our leggings and shorts, the same can be said for our sports bras. Furthermore, we all have different needs up top, if you know what I mean. Some of us are more well-endowed than others and require additional support (although, that’s definitely not me!).
Regardless of the style, Maven Thread’s bras are all cut from high-quality materials and designed to offer the kind of coverage and support we need to count on during our workouts. I also love that almost all of their bras have complimentary leggings and/or shorts to go with them, so if matching sets are your jam, you’ll love Maven Thread.

Shipping and Returns
Another thing that really impressed me about Maven Thread was their super fast shipping. All orders are shipped within 2-3 business days of ordering and you can expect to have your order 4-6 days later.
If for some reason you need to return something from your order, you can send it back within 30 days of receipt, just make sure that you have the original packaging, tags, etc. If you want to exchange the item for a different size or color, it’s free. However, if you’re simply returning, you’ll be required to pay $5 for a return shipping fee.
Final Thoughts: Is Maven Thread Worth Trying?
Maven Thread is not only a good athletic wear brand, but it’s one that you can feel confident spending your hard-earned money on. To be blunt, there’s a lot of crap out there these days and I would much rather invest in a few high-quality pieces that I love than waste money on cheap retailers that offer sub-par clothing that won’t hold up.
