Who doesn’t love a good healthy recipe swap? Especially when it’s actually GOOD. In my opinion, there’s nothing worse than eating “healthy” food that tastes terrible. I’d rather take my chances and eat the real stuff, just saying.

But in this case, I’m sharing a healthy yogurt bark recipe that will give regular chocolate bark a run for its money. I know what you’re thinking, there’s no way yogurt can taste as good as chocolate, but stick with me on this one because I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

If you’re looking for healthy, macro-friendly snacks that hit the spot when your cravings come knocking, then this yogurt bark will be right up your alley!

What is Yogurt Bark?

Yogurt bark is a healthier alternative to chocolate bark which is a thin layer of chocolate that’s filled with mix-ins like candy, cookies, nuts, and sprinkles. Yogurt bark is essentially the same concept, but it’s made using protein-packed greek yogurt instead of chocolate, saving you a ton of calories and making it macro-friendly.

How to Make a Healthy, Macro Friendly Yogurt Bark

Making a healthy greek yogurt bark is about as simple as it gets when it comes to recipes. To make it, all you’re going to do is:

  • Mix together greek yogurt, protein powder, and sugar-free or lite maple syrup in a bowl
  • Prepare a cooking sheet with a layer of parchment paper
  • Spread the greek yogurt mixture in an even layer on top of the parchment paper
  • Top the mixture with mix-ins of your choice
  • Place in the freezer for 8 hours
  • Remove from the freezer and cut into even pieces of bark
  • Enjoy guilt-free!

What Ingredients Do You Need?

To make your healthy yogurt bark, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Greek yogurt (I used Chobani Zero, but any kind will do)
  • Protein powder (I used 1st Phorm Level-1 but also recommend Clean Simple Eats)
  • Sugar-free maple syrup (you can also use lite maple syrup or honey)
  • Mix-ins (I used chopped-up Level-1 protein bars for added protein and chocolate chips)

What Are the Macros in this Healthy Yogurt Bark Recipe?

Macro-friendly generally indicates that a food is high in protein and lower in carbs and fats. This recipe certainly fits the bill as it boasts the following macros:

Of course, your specific macros will depend on what toppings and mixins you choose to add to your yogurt bark.
