While you can certainly benefit from the free version, the AI-powered coaching is where the real value is at. Next, I’ll breakdown what you can expect from the programming.

You can use this app for free, and I do recommend that you take a look at it and try it out before committing to a membership, but you’re going to get the most value out of the paid version and the AI coaching.
That said, in the free version you have access to hundreds of workout variations that cover all areas of your body. So, you can certainly get a good workout in and do so without any equipment if you don’t have access to any.

After doing a ton of research, including downloading the Freeletics app and trying it out for myself, I can confidently say that this is indeed a legitimate fitness training app and one that’s well worth the small investment required.
I love that the premise of the app is based on bodyweight exercises as so many people don’t have the means to supply their homes with a ton of fitness equipment. Freeletics is teaching us that we can effectively workout from home using just our bodies.
I also love that they have included a ton of features that encourage total body wellness. Before we dive into the review, let’s first address this very valid question. The top two goals of any fitness regime are to build muscle and lose fat.
So the question becomes, can you build muscle without access to weights, and can you lose fat without spending hours on a cardio machine? The answer to both questions is yes.The key to building muscle is challenging your muscle, which can be accomplished in various ways, including using only your bodyweight. And the key to fat loss is to increase your heart rate, which again, can be accomplished without any equipment.

Not only can you build muscle and lose weight, but there are additional benefits you’ll reap by focusing on your bodyweight only, including:
You can perform compound movements correctly
Without the added strain of resistance, you can perform compound movements while focusing on your form, which is the most effective and safest way to execute exercises.
You can work multiple muscles and joints at the same time
Without the addition of weight, you’re able to perform compound movements that work more than one body part/muscle group at a time, which can actually increase your heart rate and help shed fat, too.
You get the opportunity to work smaller muscles
