I used to hate stepping on the scale and let’s be honest, I’m still not a fan of it. It has historically always had so much power over me. Step on and see a number that’s higher than I think it should be, my day is ruined. Step on and see a number that’s lower than what I think it should be, my day is made.
It wasn’t until I reached my late 20’s and early 30’s that I started to develop a better relationship with the scale. Mostly that included staying away from it so the number didn’t have the opportunity to make me feel like a failure.
But I also started to learn more about body composition and how that plays a huge role in how much you weight. In my quest for body love, acceptance, and understanding, I came across the FitTrack Scale and was immediately interested.
A smart scale that tells you far more than how much you weigh? Count me in! Here’s my complete FitTrack review based on my personal experience with it.
What is FitTrack?
FitTrack is the company behind some of the most advanced fitness technology on the market. It’s their goal to amplify everyone’s insight and gain a deeper understanding of their own bodies. They take measuring your body to a whole new level.
Their products are designed to help you through your health and fitness journey, providing you with customized, individualized information that can help you achieve your goals. They utilize the latest technology available to streamline body measurements and give you the information you need to get the results you want.
They are focussed on cultivating a better understanding of your body through smart technology and smart apps so that you can be empowered to stick to your goals. I think this is so important today in the understanding that everyone and every body is so different and that we need to focus more on our unique statistics to achieve our goals and less what everyone else looks like.
What’s a Smart Scale?
Before we dive into what the brand is all about, let’s quickly talk about what a smart scale is and why you may want to consider one.
A smart scale is a scale that measures not only your body weight, but also additional body composition metrics and then records and stores them thorough an app or site that allows you to track over time.
For the FitTrack scale, in particular, this piece of technology works by sending small electrical signals throughout your body when you stand on it. Don’t worry, you don’t feel a thing! These signals pass through the water in your body and then meet resistance when hey reach fat. The resistance they meet is what’s used to calculate your body composition metrics.
This brand has an app that’s connected to your scale, so as soon as you use your scale, the data is automatically sent right to your phone for simple viewing and interpreting. It’s so easy to use and read!
What Products Do They Offer?
Currently, FitTrack has three main products:
They also have a TrackerEats app that’s set to release soon! Stay tuned, I’ll be sure to add information about that here when it’s released and I have the chance to use it.
Below, I’m going to give you a rundown the two products from this brand that I have personally used so far and my thoughts on them both.
FitTrack Dara Smart Scale
This is the scale that I personally have and if you’ve seen this brand around, then this is likely the one that you’ve seen. There are thousands of FitTrack Dara reviews, most of which are extremely complimentary of the product.
The key benefit of this scale is its ability to reliably track your weight, BMI, fat, and other body metrics. These numbers help you to be in the know and then to keep you accountable while measuring progress against your goals. You can literally see your body composition changes through the app which stores all your information and tracks it overtime for you.
When setting up your FitTrack, you’ll be asked for your age, height, weight, etc. so that they can track your measurements against low, standard, and high levels for others matching your profile.
This scale tracks so much, here are the metrics it records for you:
As someone who is trying to increase lean muscle and decrease body fat, it is so helpful to have these numbers as a base and to continue to track. One thing I’ve learned throughout my journey is that you may actually gain weight when dieting and exercising, but there’s a big difference between gaining fat and gaining muscle!
The same goes for weight loss. When we want to lose weight, what we want to lose is fat, not muscle. To track your progress and see the numbers over time, you’re able to determine where your weight loss is coming from and make adjustments accordingly.
Customer Reviews
I am obsessed with my scale. In fact, the whole family uses it! You can have up to eight different profiles on your scale at once, making it perfect for tracking the whole family. It’s fun to watch how my little ones’ bodies are growing and changing.
Obviously, I am obsessed with this scale and whole heartedly recommend it, but I never ask my readers to just take my word for it. Here are some Fittrack Dara reviews from their website:
FAQs
As you decide if this smart scale is right for you, take a look at some of the FAQs I put together below for more information.
It features +/- 3% accuracy, which means that it’s one of the most accurate smart scales available on the market.
Yes! This scale is supported by Apply iOS 10 and higher and Android OS 5.0 and higher.
It can accommodate up to 400 lbs
It’s simple! Each user can sync their own smartphone or you can share a profile in the Family Management area of the app. For example, my husband and I each track our own measurements on our own smartphones, but I have a family profile where I track my kid’s metrics, too.
It retails for $179.90, but they often run specials and deals so that you can get up to 50% off! I purchased mine for just $89.95 and it was money well spent.
My Personal Experience
As I mentioned in the beginning of the article, the scale used to intimidate me. I knew that it had the power to make or break my day. Through years of personal development and self-acceptance, I no longer let the number on the scale control my emotions, I simply take it as one of many data points used to measure my progress.
The FitTrack scale has helped me so much with this. I honestly don’t even pay a lot of attention to the weight metric, but rather the other numbers that are so much more telling of my body composition and progress.
I’ve gone from someone who was afraid to step on the scale to someone who uses it at least weekly as I track my progress towards my goals. This scale has given me so much more insight into my body than I ever had before.

Atria Tracker Review
A couple of months ago, my Fitbit died on me. I’ve been using a smartwatch for years, going back and forth between an Apple Watch and the latest Fitbit option. But this time around, I decided to go a little rouge and try something different.
I had been using the Dara scale for a few months and absolutely love the easy app, simple to understand tracking, and overall availability of pertinent information. I had seen that this company also has a smartwatch called the Atria Tracker, so I went for it.
The Atria watch is a multi-purpose watch that is integrated with your smartphone. Basically, it’s designed for fitness tracking but also for your basic smartphone capabilities - which is a must for me!
There’s a 1.2” touchscreen display that monitors all your movement and vitals as well as sends you your calls, texts, emails, calendar notifications, etc. Here are some of the main features:
Personalized health insights and guidance - O2 levels, heart rate, body temperature, blood pressure, and more
7 different sports tracking modes
All-day motivation - you get periodic reminders to move your body throughout the day so that you can stay on track with your goals.
An integrated smartphone app - records all your progress in an easy-to-read manner
Sleep monitoring - wear to bed and Atria will track your sleep patterns
Workout optimization - measures your heart rate trends so you can optimize your performance
Long battery life - battery lasts for 7+ days!
The only thing that is a potential downfall is although you can view your calls and texts on your watch face, you cannot answer them. This is the same deal as the Fitbit I had, though, so it really wasn’t a big deal. I more or less just want to be able to see my notifications so that I can grab my phone if need be.
Otherwise, I actually really like this watch. It’s a lot cheaper than most other fitness watches out there which makes it easily accessible! I got mine for less than $100. For that price and the great functionality, I think it’s a great fitness tracking watch, especially if you don’t mind the limited smartphone functionality.
Wrapping Up
Whew! That was a lot. Can you tell I’m impressed with this brand? I have recommended this scale to several family members as well as a couple of friends who I coach on the fitness journey. So far, the feedback I’ve received from them is phenomenal.
If you’re sick of the static number you’re getting on our regular bathroom scale that isn’t showing you anything more than your weight, nothing about your body composition, then I highly recommend a smart scale like the Dara.
