ezpz provides all-in-one eating mats, cups, bowls and utensils that are 100% food-safe silicon (FDA-approved) which help babies and toddlers learn how to eat with less mess and more fun.

For parents in the thick of toddlerhood, EZPZ is taking some of the battles out of mealtimes. With unique suctioning designs, these mats, bowls, and plates are teaching children nutritional independence while giving parents back some of their sanity.

As a mom of two little ones, I’ve been navigating meal times for years now. Between picky eaters and children’s unique ability to spill, slosh, or dump just about anything you put in front of them, meal times can feel like a serious chore.

But while mealtimes might not be our favorite time of the day as parents trying to feed our little ones, it’s an incredibly critical time for your child’s development. The experience of eating not only provides our children with the nutrients they need to fuel their growth, but it also affects their psychological and emotional development, too.

So while this might feel like even more pressure on us as parents, the great news is that there are tools out there that will help us nurture our children’s nutritional journey, teaching them independence while making the experience positive and fun. EZPZ, a baby and toddler-specific dinnerware brand, is doing just that.

In this article, I’m reviewing EZPZ’s line of silicone mealtime products, helping you to decide if these unique feeding tools are worth adding to your child’s healthy nutrition journey.

Brand Background and Story

EZPZ was founded by a mom of three boys, Lindsey Laurain. Lindsey and her husband were burnt out from the meal time messiness and cleanup that went into every single meal they fed their children. From this mess, they had the idea to create a plate that their boys couldn’t flip and toss. The result was their flagship product, the Happy Mat.

If you’re a fan of the show Shark Tank, you might have seen Lindsey and the team on there back in 2016. Since then, the EZPZ line has expanded to include a full range of feeding tools and resources to help parents allow their children to develop and grow without all the mess.

  • 100% toxin-free silicone
  • Suctions to surfaces
  • Helps to develop fine motor skills

EZPZ Product Rundown

Piggybacking off the wild success of its flagship product, the Happy Mat, EZPZ has now gone on to expand its line of kid’s eating tools to include everything from mats and bowls to cups and utensils. Next, I’ll go into more detail about what EZPZ offers.

Sectioned Plates

Currently, there are two different sectioned plate options; the Happy Mat and the Play Mat, both of which also come in mini versions for smaller tables or smaller children. The Happy Mat is for mealtimes and the Play Mat is designed for crafting, keeping everything contained and mess-free. All sectioned plates from EZPZ securely suction to the table to keep them in place and are super easy and convenient to clean when mealtime or playtime is over.

EZPZ makes three different-sized bowls to choose from, each one with a silicone mat surround and the ability to suction securely to your table setup. Size options are based on the age of your child and your space needs. These bowls make teaching your child how to eat things like a bowl of cereal or soup so much easier and more efficient.

Learning how to drink from a straw as well as from an open cup are both very important developmentally for toddlers. EZPZ makes a line of cups and straws that encourage children to drink independently while developing lip rounding and promoting speed development.

Happy Utensils from EZPZ, along with their Mini-sized counterparts, allow children to learn critical self-feeding skills with utensils in a safe and efficient manner. With the help of these fun silicone tools, your child will learn how to eat with a fork, spoon, and even a knife (safely spreading and cutting).

EZPZ also offers a nice selection of accessories to help you complete your silicone set and make your life cleaner and easier in the kitchen. From a hypo-allergenic, odor-free bottle brush and clean drying racks to aprons and splash mats, EZPZ has you covered when it comes to keeping your child happy and your kitchen clean.

Who Should Try EZPZ Products?

trying ezpz

Honestly, anyone with a baby, toddler, or small child would like to help their child learn independent eating skills without all the mess and stress that comes with using traditional toddler meal tools. Most parents can commiserate on how frustrating it can be to feed your child a meal only to have to end up cleaning, sweeping, and mopping it all up from your tabletop and floors.

With EZPZ, the hassle of teaching your child independence at mealtimes is eliminated. No more plates tipping, bowls dumping, or cups spilling thanks to the suction technology. Plus, cleanup is a breeze. You can even toss your silicone products right into your dishwasher.

What Products Are Best for What Ages/Stages?

EZPZ’s easy-to-navigate website makes it really simple to align with the right products for your child based on their age and current needs. All of the mat-based products provide a stable base for your child to practice their fine motor skills. Plus, the self-sealing mats also help infants, toddlers, and preschoolers work on their skills with utensils. Skills like dipping, scooping, piercing, and cutting is made easier when the mat is secured to the table.

Below is an age-appropriate recommendation by-product for reference:

Real ezpz Reviews and Product Rating

There are over 18,000 customer reviews of ezpz products with an average rating of 4.8 stars out of 5 stars. The majority of these customers would all agree that ezpz products are worth it as most people rave about the amazing customer experience and also the excellent product quality.

Most parents that have purchased ezpz products are reporting that their child has more fun eating and is learning how to use utensils at a younger age than anticipated.

One mom left a ezpz mini mat review stating,

From to color to the material the mini mat is a must have for starting solids! I love that it also helps you with amounts, helps me separate each food group in one plate and I can play around with the presentation. I actually have 3 colors! And I'm in love

ezpz alternatives

When it comes to alternatives, there are a few options out there, however, nothing is identical to EZPZ, as far as I know.

WeeSprout is another line of kids and toddler meal tools and accessories that offers intentional feeding products that are created for parents, by parents. There are sectioned plates available that have suction cups on the bottom, making them easy to stick to any surface. However, these do not have the tray surrounding them as EZPZ does, which makes them a little more prone to a mess.

If you want to get something on the cheaper end for your child, Amazon offers a ton of sectioned plates in various sizes. These, however, don’t have the suction feature and are mostly made from plastic, not silicone.

Final Thoughts: Is EZPZ Worth It For Toddler Meal Independence?

ezpz worth money

Yes, EZPZ is well worth it for helping to teach your infant, toddler, and/or preschooler how to eat independently without the mess, stress, and hassle. Personally, I believe the small additional cost required to purchase EZPZ products vs traditional toddler plates and utensils. Plus, EZPZ products are so high quality and long-lasting that your investment will pay off for years.

Mealtimes with your children can often be a source of stress and anxiety. Whether you’re dealing with a picky eater, a messy eater, or toddler tantrums, it can often feel defeated as parents. Thankfully, brands like EZPZ are making mealtimes a little less tumultuous and a little more enjoyable for both kids and parents.
