Move over Shamrock Shake, there’s a new minty favorite in town! This high-protein chocolate mint protein shake bowl is going to be your new favorite treat.

As a kid, I loved peppermint patties, probably because my grandpa always had them on hand and would always sneak me a few. Fast forward to today and I still love peppermint patties, however, they don’t find their way into my diet very often anymore.

So when I had a craving for something chocolate mint, I decided to create a high-protein chocolate mint protein shake that would satisfy my craving. This chocolate mint protein shake is easy to make, full of protein, and plenty sweet to be considered a treat!

And, if you like this, you'll most likely love our mint chocolate protein donuts that is another chocolate favorite here at FHM.

3 Reasons Why You’ll Love This High-Protein Chocolate Mint Protein Shake Recipe

  1. If you like the classic flavor of chocolate mint, then this recipe is going to be right up your alley. Chocolate mint is refreshing and rich, without being overwhelming, and that’s exactly what you can expect from this chocolate mint protein shake.
  2. This recipe is perfect for eating out of a bowl, giving you major mint cookie ice cream vibes. I love a good thick, creamy shake, and this recipe will definitely deliver! I prefer to eat my protein shakes with a spoon as it leaves me feeling so much more satisfied than when I suck it down through a straw. Plus, all the crunchy bits of chocolate in this recipe are worth enjoying!
  3. It’s customizable to your personal macros! There are so many different ways you can make this chocolate mint protein shake so that it works for your macros. Need fewer carbs? Omit the toppings or swap them out for something less dense. Short on protein? Add another scoop of protein powder or even some collagen powder! The options are endless.

Swaps or Alternatives

If you have a chocolate mint protein powder, this will work great in place of using the peppermint extract. If you don’t have access to mint chocolate cookies, you can use a regular chocolate cookie like an Oreo or a chocolate graham cracker.

Quick Tip

Peppermint extract is very potent, be mindful when adding peppermint extract to your protein shake to avoid overdoing the flavor. A tiny dash of peppermint results in big taste!
