There's so many different workouts you can do with Booty Kicker and you can even bring it to the beach!

Barre is one of those workouts that can easily become an obsession. From the challenges throughout the workout to the accomplished feeling you get when it’s over, it’s no surprise that Barre is one of the most popular workouts with an estimated 3.67 million people participating in the US alone. So if you have a stash of leggings and sticky socks, know that you’re not alone!

While Barre is undoubtedly one of the most popular workouts right now, the events of the last year have left many people out of their favorite studios. I recently heard on a podcast that the pandemic left folks with three options:

  1. Hunk - Get in the best shape of your life.
  2. Chunk - Through all caution to the wind and forget your health and fitness goals for now.
  3. Drunk - Bring on the wine!

All joking aside, it’s been a tough transition for people to go from the accountability and connection of working out at the gym to transitioning to home workouts. However, I am here to tell you that a few good tools can make all the difference!

In this article, I’m reviewing the Booty Kicker, a portable home barre that’s allowing you to effectively practice Barre right from your living room. I’ll talk about the benefits of Barre, everything you need to know about Booty Kicker, and then let you decide if it’s worth it or not. Plus, I have a special discount code to help you save some money if you determine it’s a good fit for you!

What Are The Benefits Of Barre?

Barre-based fitness classes have become increasingly popular over the last few years. The promise of long, lean muscles and a dancer’s body are appealing to many. But beyond that, Barre tends to create positive feelings and impressive results. This study found that long-term ballerinas are more skilled than beginners are at tasks requiring the use of fine motor skills. What this tells us is that practicing barre can help fine-tune our motor skills, which extends into every area of our lives.

barre benefits from Booty Kicker

Fitness Barre has so many benefits, including improved strength, flexibility, endurance, healthy mind and so much more!

Below are some of the top benefits of Barre workouts

1. Increased strength and definition

Barre movements have a unique way of targeting your muscles from every angle, giving you a thorough tone that you don’t get with many classic exercises. You get the opportunity to hit on some of your smaller muscles that are often overlooked or underdeveloped.

2. Build endurance

Some of the most well-known movements in a barre class are the ones that use isometric contractions, giving you time under tension, which creates increased stamina and endurance.

3. Better posture

Because you’ll be engaging your core muscles throughout the entire class, you’re increasing your muscle strength and improving your posture.

4. Increased flexibility

Even if you don’t consider yourself the most flexible person, you shouldn’t shy away from barre class because it will allow you to become much more flexible. There is so much stretching and lengthening going on in barre workouts that the natural by-product is an improvement in your body’s ability to flex and move.

5. Improve your mind-body connection

One of the most effective ways to workout is to connect your mind to the muscle tissues that you are working on. It sounds a bit odd at first, but focusing your thoughts on the tiny muscles you’re working on improving works. Barre instructors do a great job of reigning you back in when your mind starts to wander. It’s all about being present in the moment and putting in your best effort.

What's It Look Like?

The frame is constructed from durable steel and features an authentic wooden barre at the top. The feet of the frame are grippy, so you don’t need to worry about your Booty Kicker sliding around on either carpet or wood floors. There are also rolling wheels that can easily be engaged when the equipment is tilted up for easy maneuvering.

Located on the front of the barre are weight racks used both for storing your dumbbells and for keeping your barre in place when you’re using it. The additional weight from your dumbbells will help to ensure that your Booty Kicker remains firmly in place throughout your whole workout.

You can also purchase an articulating tablet/phone holder that can be attached directly to your barre, giving you an up-close and personal workout experience when you stream workouts from your phone or device. This is an awesome convenience feature that shows how much time and thought the brand put into making this a complete home barre solution.

Booty Kicker FAQs

How Big is It?

When assembled, the Booty Kicker is 37” tall, 38” wide, 34” deep. When folded, it’s 34” deep, 38” wide, and 5” tall.

How much weight can it support?

The maximum weight that Booty Kicker can support is 250 pounds straight down. The weights that you place at the bottom will determine how much you can push and pull it. At a minimum, the brand recommends that you place at least 15 pounds on each side to ensure it’s sturdy.

What weights should I buy to go with it?

Based on the recommendation of having 15 lbs on each side, you could get three sets of dumbbells; 3, 5, and 10 lbs. A set like this is a good option, but you can also purchase dumbbells separately and build as you go.

Do workouts come with purchase?

No, at this time Booty Kicker doesn’t have a workout app, however, I won’t be surprised if they do in the future. In the meantime, I personally recommend OpenFit and their Xtend Barre programming. In fact, OpenFit recently published an article with the best ballet barres for home where they named Booty Kicker the #1 choice. An OpenFit subscription is only $8 per month and has tons of programming to choose from, including amazing barre workouts! You can read my full OpenFit review for more information.

How much does it cost?

The Booty Kicker retails for $99.99 + Shipping & Handling. If you use my link, you’ll get the barre for $79.99 + S&H PLUS a free bender ball with your order!

Booty Kicker Review Conclusion: Is It Worth Buying?

After reviewing Booty Kicker and what it has to offer, I can tell you that it is 100% worth it if you’re someone who loves barre and wants to workout effectively from home. While using a stool or chair works, having your very own mini barre in your living room provides so much additional value and enjoyment for your barre workouts.

Perhaps the most convincing reason to purchase Booty Kicker is the fact that it’s so easy to use and easy to store. This isn’t a big, bulky piece of equipment and you don’t need any special tools or expertise to install and use it.

Lastly, the price is very affordable, especially when you consider the fact that it’s made from very high-quality materials that are built to last.

Overall, I am very pleased with Booty Kicker and am happy to share this amazing piece of at-home barre equipment with everyone in my circle!
