Proper nutrition plays a vital role in our overall health. We know that, right? So why are so many of us still so reluctant to take daily vitamins?

I admit that aside from my pregnancies, it’s been a long time since I have taken vitamins. It always feels like one of those things that you do for a while and then peters away from. Like when the bottle runs out, you just never make it a priority to order or purchase another bottle.

I mean, how much good are they actually doing for you, anyway? Turns out, a lot. I dug into some of the research and discovered that daily multivitamins play an integral role in the prevention of some of the most common chronic diseases that plague us.

That’s where Binto comes into play. Binto is an online women’s supplement provider that focuses on creating customized vitamin solutions. Their goal is to make vitamins affordable and convenient so that more women have access to them and fewer women are likely to develop significant health problems.

This made my ears perk up, and since I wasn’t currently taking any vitamins, I decided to try Binto for myself and bring you a thorough review of my findings. Are Binto’s supplements high-quality and rooted in science? Is this subscription-based vitamin service right for you? I’m sharing all the details to help you decide.

Behind The Brand: What is Binto?

Binto is a personalized women’s vitamins subscription service that’s dedicated to providing access to safe and effective over-the-counter products at an attainable price point for women everywhere.

The company was started in 2015 when Suzie Welsh, Binto’s founder, was working as a women’s health and fertility nurse when she discovered a serious need for this type of service within the space. She was finding that her patients were confused by the products and supplements they were being advised to take and were left with long appointment wait time and short chats with a professional that only left them more confused and anxious about their bodies.

As someone who has been down this road with my own infertility journey, I can completely relate to this sentiment and understand how frustrating it can feel to not have the answers we so desperately are seeking.

What Does Binto Do?

Binto provides each of its customers with personalized, unique supplement combinations to support her specific needs within her particular stage of female health. They recognize that all women go through various stages in their life, and with each stage, her nutritional needs change. They provide custom-tailored support for the following female life stages:

The Period Years - Support from your first period to the years leading up to menopause.

The Fertility Years - Whether you’re ready for a baby right now or not, these are the years that you’re most fertile so having a healthy foundation for (future) fertility may help you when you decide the timing is right to start a family.

Pregnancy - This is your prenatal time when your body needs very specific vitamins to support optimal health for you and your baby.

Postpartum - Immediately following your pregnancy and up to one year after delivery is considered your postpartum stage where your nutritional needs are special depending on your body.

The Peri-Menopause Years: This is the stage that’s often most neglected in women’s health! It’s the months or years leading up to full-blown menopause. This can occur anywhere from your 30’s to 50’s and is a time of extreme hormone shifts.

What Kinds of Supplements Do They Offer?

Binto’s supplements include vitamins, minerals, pre and probiotics, and antioxidants. While the main focus of their supplement combinations is to promote reproductive health for the stage you’re currently in, they also take a holistic approach to promote:

  • Overall daily nutrition and wellness
  • Hormonal balance
  • Skin health
  • Energy levels
  • Digestive health
  • Sleep

By taking their intuitive quiz, Binto will come up with a specific combination of supplements that are tailored to your unique personal needs. Each month, you’ll be sent your formula right to your door in the form of individual packs that are easy to remember and to take on the go. They also offer professional online wellness consultations for those who want a more in-depth take on optimizing their health.

How myBinto Works

The first step when getting started with a personalized vitamin subscription from Binto is to take their detailed questionnaire, which takes around 5 minutes to complete. You’ll be asked to enter all your pertinent information like DOB, email, and information about your health, conditions, and issues. Once completed, you’ll get instant access to your recommended supplement list as well as your projected monthly cost.

One of their nurses will also review the health information you shared and will then augment your supplements if needed. If there are any components on your recommended list that you don’t want to keep, you can easily remove them from your pack. The supplements recommended for you are just that - recommendations. The ball is still in your court to make your daily vitamins your own by adding or subtracting anything you wish.

After you’ve signed up and completed your first order, you will be automatically enrolled in auto-shipping for your monthly kit. Each month, your credit card will be charged for your next month’s supply of vitamins. If at any time you need to change your subscription, you can update it in your profile or speak with a Binto nurse or staff member to get new recommendations. You also have the option to pause your orders for up to 6 months or end your subscription at any time.

What Supplements Are Available?

For reference, you can see my personalized vitamin kit below that was recommended for me by Binto.

Here are the available supplements Binto has available:

  • Bare Essentials
  • Synbiotic
  • Vitamin D
  • Zinc
  • B12
  • B6
  • Essential Prenatal
  • Women’s Complete
  • Prenatal-Plus
  • Digest-Ease
  • DHEA
  • DHA
  • NAC
  • CoQ10
  • Folate (Methylated)
  • DHAFish Oil

One thing that is extremely apparent is that Binto is very conscious of taking an evidence-based approach to their recommendations. They focus solely on the areas where women tend to be missing key nutrients to support them during our life stages. Rather than fulfilling every recommended daily allowance with a blanket multivitamin, much of which won’t even be absorbed into the body, Binto focuses on the dietary needs that we often miss in our diets and that absorb well into our systems.

For example, instead of using a commercial folate supplement, they use methylated folate which is absorbed by our bodies much better. They take into account what nutrients we really need throughout our life cycle and focus on delivering in the most convenient, effective, adn efficient way possible.

Additionally, all of their supplements are gluten-free, preservative-free, filler-free, and animal product-free. They are GMP-certified and although they are sourced from around the world, they are manufactured here in the US. They also have a system in place where customers can return their used packages to be recycled, which shows their dedication to promoting a healthy, sustainable future.

How Much Does it Cost?

Anytime you hear “personalized,” you know the cost will be slightly elevated from the generic, one-size-fits-all solutions you’ll find the drug store. However, I find Binto’s supplements to be incredibly affordable given the quality of the products, the convenience, and the customer support you receive with your subscription.

The cost for a supplement kit will depend on your individual combination recommendations, but start at $20 per month and go up to around $50 per month. They often offer discounts and promos for new users. Right now, they are running a fall promo: use the code “keepglowing” to get 20% off your first month.

One Time Purchases and Other Products

Not ready to commit to a subscription yet or want to gift a month to a friend or family member? Binto offers a one-time, non-personalized starter kit option which includes their essential multivitamin and probiotic for just $35.

They also offer their Glow Down calming drink mix that’s designed to help you de-stress and unwind before bed each night. It’s a tasty powder that you mix with water that’s made up of a variety of minerals that are proven to help you sleep better, aid in muscle recovery, and calm nerves.

Lastly, they offer a belly oil and nursing balm, both products designed to help pregnant and/or nursing moms ease their skin and feel relief. The belly oil nourishes the skin, promoting proper hydration and healing. And the nursing balm creates a protective barrier for irritated skin. Any momma who has nursed or pumped knows the pains and strains our nipples go through during nursing.

Telehealth Consultations

When you purchase a Binto Vitamin subscription, you get free online chat support with a licensed nurse whenever you need it, which is an incredible value and resource for customers! But, you can get even more support when you book an online consultation with one of their healthcare providers when you want to dive deeper into your health.

Booking is so simple, you can literally just schedule an appointment with a few clicks of your mouse and by browsing the real-time calendar availability. You’ll also be able to view their specialists and their certifications while choosing which one is the right fit for you.  Here are the types of consultations that are available for women:

  • Fertility Consult - 30 minutes $50
  • Health Consult - 30 minutes $30
  • Location Consult - 60 minutes $120 and follow-ups are 30 minutes for $80
  • Nutrition Consult - 60 minutes $120 and follow-ups are 30 minutes for $80
  • Postpartum Consult - 30 minutes $50
  • Prenatal Consult - 30 minutes $50

Health Education and Additional Resources

In addition to all the resources, we already listed, Binto also runs online health information classes each month that are led by medial specialists on a variety of relevant topics. You can join a class on things like prenatal education, infant nutrition, and childbirth.

You can also find live educations events on their Instagram free of charge and plenty of downloadable ebooks, blog posts, and other educational materials on their website. They are truly one of the best resources for women’s health, wellness, and fertility that I have seen.

Is This Women’s Vitamins Subscription Service Right For You?

I’ll be honest, I tried another vitamin subscription service a few months back, and while I really like the service, I didn’t stick with it. I feel that my healthy diet allows me to get almost all of the essential nutrients I need and that a multivitamin is somewhat unnecessary. But when I discovered Binto, I was intrigued because this brand discusses more on women’s health, specifically fertility, and reproductive health - something I have struggled with for years.

When I saw that they gave me options for controlling my hormones (PCOS) and regulating my periods, I was all in. With this service, I truly feel like I am getting the nutrients I need and nothing I don’t. I need help with fertility support, but I don’t need help with most of the basic nutrients.

I think this is the best personalized vitamin service for women I have seen so far, based on the science behind the supplements they use and the professional support and high-quality supplements you receive.

If you’re a woman at any stage, you owe it to yourself to at least checkout Binto and their recommendations for you. These vitamins could be the missing piece you need to boost your fertility, support your pregnancy, or help you through menopause.
